About Us
Our family lives in a tiny little Idaho town. Our farm is small but full of love and lots of big personalities. In an effort to stay as independent as possible, we have made it a point to teach ourselves and our kids the life skills necessary to stay fed and keep ourselves healthy with natural resources. I began studying herbal medicine as a hobby and then, making herbal options available to my loved ones for various health issues. When I began incorporating tallow, a lot of people reached out to me and were interested in using herbal tallow salves (and Cooking Tallow) in an effort to live cleaner. These requests became so frequent that a business formed and here we are today.
I have been overwhelmed with happiness as people have shared so many successes stories with me. Everything from loving the softer, improved texture of their face, to relieving eczema symptoms, psoriasis, acne, joint and muscle pain, diaper rash, scarring, resolved rashes from other skin care products and more.
I never take for granted the trust people place in us. I can assure you our products have the least ingredients necessary and are ALWAYS as pure and chemical-free as promised. That’s why we did this to begin with, after all. As evidence of that, you will even sometimes see small flecks of herbs in your tallow or oils, as I infuse most of my own oils with herbs I have grown or purchased locally from good friends in our small community. I also use the least amount of extra virgin olive oil necessary to whip my tallow balms. Because of this, you may find a slight inconsistency in the whipped tallow and it can have a grainy texture at times. This is secondary to me not adding chemicals to keep the lipids (beef fat) from gathering - or adding too much oil to try and preserve texture over purity. We raise our own beef, so we know what our herd did or did not eat. And that they did not receive new technology vaccines or antibiotics or steroids :)
